    Default Import data using phpMyAdmin

Newbie here with, what I hope is not a really dumb question.

I have already imported a lot of data, using Store Manager, and am
looking at a more cost effective solution (my client is balking at
    paying for the license).

I would like to use phpMyAdmin to import data to my database.
When I log in and select the database, I can then select the
categories table. No problem! However, if I want to import
data into a specific category/subcategory, say one with ID # 153,
do I simply check that ID and then proceed with Import? I don't
want to import data and have it go to some unknown location,
possibly messing up the whole structure.

    Thanks for the assist!

Don't know what license you are referring to???

ZenCarts DB is cross indexed so one need to be careful when adding information as in adding a product one must also add it to a category correctly.

Suggest you obtain and learn easy populate on another test install and once familiar with how it functions move on to using it for a live DB....
Always backup the DB before doing anything as a fall back

I think you are referring to Store Manager from MagneticOne... Am I correct?

Kobra's right... If it's just product data you're concerned with then Easy Populate is probably all you need.

Get Easy Populate STANDARD from www.modhole.com - you need version 1.2.5.4.

The 1.2.5.5 version in this site's free add-ons has been reported by some people to be a bit faulty (though I've used it and not had problems).

There is a WIKI tutorial by Schoolboy on "Easy Populate".
