Moving to a new IP & domain

Hello, I've read a few post and read this tutorial and before i move forward, i want to make sure that I'm taking the right steps and if these direction will apply to me.

I'm on dedicated server running linux using cpanel. Currently been hosting my zen cart with the domain of mydomain1.org at 123.456.3.200 and want to change to: mydomian2.com 123.456.3.201 on the same server.

Do i have to move zen cart and all its files over to the new directories of the new domain or just change some settings?

If you have full control as you should on a dedicated, you can just remane the original account in WHM > Account Functions > Modify an Account > Select the current domain > change the domain name > leave the account user the same and you will not have to alter any files

Just a thought, i want to leave the old and other domains up for a redirect for a ever, has its been index in the search engines.
mydomain1.org at 123.456.3.200 has five IPless domains attached to it, that are hosting on my server. Will that be a problem when renaming the original account for the new domain at 123.456.3.201?

What you posted is NOT what I suggested...
Changing just the domain name has nothing to do with the IP
