    red flag Renaming Pages

Hello, a new user here. I have searched the databases and have not found the answer to my question. The store is currently setup and working correctly. I obviously did not set it up and am learning here. I would like to rename the file, (currently it is named index.php and resides in the root directory) from index.php to store.php or to change the directory where it resides, from the root directory to a sub directory maybe called "store"

I tried both of these and neither one just worked, the initial page would come up if I typed in the url but nothing else worked. I am wondering if there is somewhere in the admin features on the site where I can rename the page or tell the cart that I have renamed it so that it will function properly, please help!

From what I could tell it looks like I would have to reinstall the software in a different directory to make that option work rather than just move it.

    Any help appreciated

    Elizabeth

If you move the entire folder structure into another directory, you just need to update the two configure.php files to tell the cart the new location - it should work perfectly.

Renaming the index.php to something like store.php is harder to achieve - although it is possible.

An assumption is what you arrive at when you get tired of thinking...

Okay well then, moving the entire directory structure, sounds like the best way to go and I am completely okay with that, but you mention that i would have to update the two configure.php files to let the cart know the new location, of these files

Would I update and modify through the admin panel where I login for maintenance or would this be by directly editing the code of these two files, and if I might ask where I would find these files, it would greatly help me in this effort. I would hate to mess with the wrong file and open a can of worms I am not prepared to deal with.

    I appreciate your help,
    Thanks so much,
