Attribute Stock level

Hi,

I'm just getting started with attributes and i cant figure out one thing. Some of my products come with a default case but an optional can be bought for a premium. I want to have this selected as an attribute. This i can do, my question is this. I have finite stock levels for the cases. How do i do the cases as attributes with a stock level for the case seperate from the stock level of the item its an attribute of, so that when i am out of stock of the cases the option for that case type becomes unavailable.

There are several handy mods in the addons section. Do a search there for 'stock by attribute' and see which one best suits your needs.

only "Attributes Separate Stock" seems to do what i want but its years old. I dont know php and i want to keep the cart as default as possible so i would like to use one that works off the bat with 1.3.8!
