calculating the price based on multiple attributes

Is Zencart capable of calculating the price based on multiple attributes? For instance for a book publishing project the number of pages in color, the size of the pages, the number of pages, cover style, the number of copies, etc. together determine the price. A non-profit has asked me to help them out with this, and I have no idea where to begin. Any help will be appreciated.

You can set things up for:

Red
Green +$1.00
Gold +$10.00

Small
Medium +$3.00
Large +$5.00

If that is what you are trying to do ...

Now from what I am imagining you need to price the cost of the Book is to have each component as a Product ... so that the Quantity can manage that component ...

But we would really need to know more about the pricing to break down the best method ...

Thanks for your reply Ajeh. The price changes based on a series of attributes combined (compound logic). Ex: between 1-500 copies, 10-15 color in each copy, page size: 5.5" * 8.5" , 25-150 pages in each copy then the price would be $7.00 per book (just an example), if all the variables remain the same but the page size changes the price changes... 501-1000 copies would be priced differnetly again based on the other variables involved... I greatly appreciate any help on this.

Currently, there are not dependent attributes ...

If you can break these up more like separating the sizes into different Products then using the attributes or the Attribute Quantity Discounts or the Product Quantity Discounts ... that might work ...

Trying to peice together 1 Product to represent the whole book would not work on this ...

But you might be able to break things up by a Category with each component as a Product and use the discounts to set the price breaks ...
