    Default Reseting Store manager

    Hi All,

this probaby a really silly question, but here it goes:

My cart is warning me to clear out my Admin Activity log but will reseting my store manager basically put everthing back at zero?

I want to keep my customer information and orders on my Admin. As well I want to the ID # given to new products/categories to continue to increase and not start back at zero...hope I'm explaining this correctly

    thanks!

In my opinion it's quite safe to delete the Admin Activity Log. This is just a record of what actions have taken place while you work in the admin console.

As a matter of course, backing up the database before effecting any changes, is recommended.

But yes... clear out the activity log to free up space and resources...

No other data is "lost" or removed.

    (But backup first...)

Yes, you can purge the activity log.
Keep in mind that its intent is to provide one of the required aspects of PCI compliance: recording who had access to what aspects of payment details.
Keeping periodic backups of that data might be advisable depending on how PCI-concerned you are.
