    Default 406 Not Acceptable Error

    Hi all,

    I get the following error:

    Not Acceptable

An appropriate representation of the requested resource /admin/categories.php could not be found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. Apache/1.3.41 Server at flowersbysuzie.co.uk Port 80

This happens on 2 websites that I have and the 3rd is fine, the error comes about when I try and add a new category or product to the shop and has only just started to occour.

I have checked the php my admin and my sql versions and they are the same on the working and non-working sites, I have also tried copying the admin/categories.php file from the working site to the non-working sites with no luck either.

Can anyone please shed some light on this?

I did install a different editor but I was able to add products after the install so I do not think it has anything to do with that.

I am using Zen Cart v1.3.8a/v1.3.8

Ask your hosting company for the details on which "mod_security" rules are throwing the 406 error on you.

406 errors are almost always a result of mod_security rules (configured by your hosting company) being triggered. Exactly which rules are detailed in the server's apache errorlog, which your hosting company has access to. That's why you need to talk to *them* first.
