    Default Percentage in attributes

    Hi everyone :)

ok i have a site set up which i've set attributes for no problem

my attributes are based on sizes

    i.e.

    100mm
    200mm
    300mm etc etc

so an item @ 100mm might be £1.50
an item @ 300mm might be £4.00 and so on

the items are finished in different colours but it doesn't affect the price so the colour choice doesn't need to add anything or take anything away.

    However

I do have 1 finish which is slightly more expensive than the others so if this is selected i need it to add a percent to the price.

now when i've tried this in the offset's etc it only seems to do it for the 1st size of 100mm, the others sizes it still adds the same percent of the lowest price.

Is there a way i can add percent based on size based on this particular finish? other finishes will soon be available too so i really could do with figuring this out pretty quicky

I've read through various threads and can't seem to find this specific way.

    Thanks

    Steve :)

Sorry, what you want is a variation of dependent attributes, which are not available in standard Zen Cart. I understand some people have done similar things, but it would need to be custom coded by an experienced professional.

    hmmm

I can't think of any other way of doing it now the only way i can seem to do is just add a set price for having the more expensive finish but it's a tad unfair charging the same price extra for say a 100mm size & the 600mm size when i wouldn't be using half the stuff to make the finish, and i can't make them at a loss to keep the smaller sizes in the price range they should be.

the only other way i can think of doing it is to add the finish into the size options for every single size there is for every single product there is which would take me weeks. alternatively creating another list of sizes identical in the other finish but then could i get it to blank out the original sizes? otherwise they would end up buying the same size twice in different finishes.

I think i've just confused myself

Unfortunately there is just not an easy way of doing this - if it were easy it would be in the core or at least a mod available for it already.
