    Default suPHP and CHMOD 644

    Hi guys,

Just trying a fresh install on a new shared server which is running suPHP. With configure.php files set to 644, PHP still has access to them, so I was going to change to 444.

If I do this though, I won't be able to edit the files again will I? So I will never be able to edit them or change them back to 644?

What's the best solution here? Is it just a case of getting everything set up how I want it and then CHMODing to 444?

    Cheers,
    Dave

You won't be able to edit them in that state, but you should be able to change them back and then edit them.
