Credit Card Issue

My site recently crashed and I am in the process of getting in all rebuilt....the guy that helps me with the site loaded Zen-Cart 1.3.8(I did have an older version, not sure which one)...anyways, now when customers place orders it is letting them complete the order without requiring CVV security code off the back of the card and my software will not allow me to process the order without the code. The Zen-Cart version I had before would not allow the customer to continue without entering the code....is there a way I can make this a requirement to complete the order?

You're probably using the built-in Offline Manual Credit Card module (which doesn't actually process any cards), instead of the payment module designed for your real payment gateway. Turn it off and turn on the module for your live gateway, and things should work more as expected.
