Linking attributes

I run a site that sells contact lenses. Members are constantly forgetting to order two units for a pair. I can setup attributes such that there is a right lens and left lens option menu but I have two questions:

1- How do I make it so each dropdown menu corresponds to a unit purchase? (Just setting min qty to 2 doesn't seem to work)

2- How do I link these attributes for inventory purposes. For example, a customer chooses -2 for left and right lens, but in actuality it doesn't matter what eye it's ordered for, I still need to subtract 2 units from inventory. Can I setup a "Lens category" and link both left and right lens to subtract from the "Lens category"?

There is a module called "Stock by Attributes" in the free Software Add-ons section that may be your solution....

I have that add-on installed already, that's where I'm trying to link the different inventory types. The Right Lens-2 and the Left Lens -2 needs to pull from one category called "Lens Power" -2 which can track ALL the -2 purchases regardless of Left or Right
