editing specific pages through ftp- please advice!!

Hi,
I'm trying to edit my products pages through the ftp in order to add google tracking codes, vidoes site map protocol etc. Can some advice how can i track specific product pages?

Why not just install the User Tracking module, available in the Free Software Add-ons?

... much, much easier than what you are trying to do with fussy google nonsense!

I'm not quite sure i understand what does it mean Tracking module.
In order to add a video sitemap for google you need to add with additional video-specific tags to the Html/.php page.
Can you refer me to where I can install this add-on software?

There is a user tracking module in the free addons that will help you track visitor behaviour.

Download that module and install it in your zenshop.

Sitemaps (for Google and other SE's) - as I understand it - are usually XML files loaded into your site's root directory. There is a sitemap generator module too, but I know ( - because I use it - ) it does not generate video sitemaps.

Depending on how these video sitemaps are generated

... it may be possible to hack the sitemaps module to accommodate video sitemaps.

but i've got sitemap already and the google webmaster tool tracking code so i get google analytics. in order to add the video site map however, i will need only to add to the protocol the video tags. and for that i will need to track the specific page via ftp and add it. the guy that did all that for me is unavailable for support.

I dont fully understand how the Zen cart file system works.

where can I read about it?

any idea where to find that pages?

As I have no idea where your video material sits on your site, I cannot advise.

But this has nothing to do with FTP. There are NO static html pages into which you can strip code.

There is no standard add-on (currently) for zencart that will generate a Google Video Sitemap.

So you are going to have to create it manually. Google provides advice here:

When you have created your sitmap, THIS is the file that you FTP to your server. Again, follow google's advice about what to call it and where to put it and what to do in Google Webmaster Sitemaps manager...

I have 4 videos for each type of products which i added from the cataloge/products toggle html option (<>).

Can i add the google video tags from there? it is not written the same in terms of the coding.

how to i find the source of all video pages in order to add these video tags?
