    Default FedEX Module Setup

I installed the FEDEX (by Numinix) module but can't make it work.
    Current configuration:
Your Fedex Account Number: xxxxxxxxx (My actual number is inserted)
    Your Fedex Meter ID:NONE
    cURL Path:NONE
    cURL Proxy:NONE
    Debug Mode:FALSE
    etc

Is there something else that I should do?

I'm in process of trying to get this working as well. For starters turn on Debug mode. Then view a cart with something in it. That will at least let you know if the module is talking to FedEx site.

Mine is reporting "Account number not in database", but I'm using my account number that is listed on the "My FedEx" account page.

So I at least know CURL is configured right and the module can reach FedEx.

Just because you have a fedex account for shipping
doesnt mean you are setup to get rates from them.

You need to sign up for a test developer key/meter from fedex
webservices. You can then test your rate queries. Once its
working you can requets a production key/meter number.

Go here and check it out.

Thanks for that informaton. Getting ZC set up was so traumatic that I'm just now (a year later) interested in adding anything to it. (I tried the inventory-by-attributes module and completely blew up my site. Talk about scary!)

I read the link you posted but had trouble finding a way to start the key process -- finally found a "register" link over on the right side. It accepted my online FedEx User ID to login to the developer section as well.

Then I clicked on "Get Started with FedEx Web Services Technical Resources now" and then "Get Started" but now I'm stuck. Do I need the FedEx downloads? If so, in which language? Or should I just go directly to the "Obtain Developer Test Key" option?

Sorry to sound stupid, but I'm not a programmer and I need very specific directions to accomplish computer-related tasks.

Also, since I'm running 1.3.8a, should I get the FedEx module for 1.3.7 or the FedEx XML module for 1.3.8?
