on installation using just hosts, zen cart installed my admin directory as zc_admin. Moving the items on this addon into the zc_admin directory instead of the admin directory resolved this issue for me.

It used to be that Zen Cart installed with the /admin/ folder, and there was only a suggestion to rename it for security. Now it installs as /zc_admin/ and is required to be changed after installation to a custom name. Any mods that have not been updated to reflect this situation will not mention it in their documentation.
