Guided Search

I have tried searching for this option via the forums and the addons section, but haven't seen or missed it.

I am looking for a "guided search." example...http://www.newegg.com/Store/SubCateg...l-Motherboards

off to the left you can pick several things to help narrow what your looking for e.g. price, socket type, cpu type, manufacturer. it basically looks like its a new categories box once your inside your desired category.

So on my site for example...

I would navigate to video surveillance, then cameras and boom...this is where I would want it...so that if you wanted to look at cameras that only cost between $50-100 you would click that "category" or guided search.

I hope this isnt to confusing, but you can see how newegg has it, once you get down like 2 or 3 branches from the top category that guided search pops up...which is basically like categories w/o all the categories....

anyways....is there something out there like this....or is this an option already in zencart that can be accomplished with a little work?

is this not something that can be done?

is there a way to turn off the main categories on the side once you get "x" amount of categories deep? or maybe move it along the top, and bring up a new set of categories off to the side?

I've not seen anything like that for zencart... maybe there is an oscommerce plugin that someone can use as a basis for a new project...
