    help question Cancelled Order

I am using Zen Cart 1.3.8. I have it set up that a customer can mail me a check or money order. I hold their order until I receive the check. I had someone not send a check. I finally got a hold of them and they said to cancel the order. How do I do this, so that the items go back into inventory and the order doesn't show pending?

Also, I thought that if you only had a certain numbers of an item in stock, that is all that Zen cart would allow them to order. I am ending up with negative inventory counts because it is allowing them to order more.

Thank you for any help you can give. You have been a big blessing to me. I did look at the FAQ's and I also looked at the book.

Fom your orders page in admin, you can delete the order. Clicking on the delete button will show you a checkbox that you can check to 'restock' the products.

To prevent checkout if a customer has ordered more items than you have in stock, go to Admin > Configuration > Stock > Allow Checkout and set it to false.

An assumption is what you arrive at when you get tired of thinking...
