Turn off welcome e-mail?

New to Zen.....is there a way to turn off sending "welcome" e-mail?

I'm not sure why you'd want to do that. It's not really wise to not inform customers that someone is using their email address someplace they don't know about.

There's no built-in switch for it, but if you want to hack the code to remove that important functionality you can find the concept here: http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showthread.php?t=62475
