    Default Re: Screen Resolution

My screen is 1680 by 1050 and it looks fine, even to my old eyes.

In other words, you never can tell what suits people, regardless of what you may be able to figure out about their screen resolution.

The vast majority of users will either be used to whatever their browser/screens defaults are and be puzzled by any sort of intrusion into that, or will have adjusted everything deliberately to their liking and will resent your efforts.

The best you can do (with text elements) is to let the CSS handle things. With graphic elements you're kind of stuck. But then, so are the other half-billion web sites, so you're not experiencing a competitive disadvantage.
