How to insert products by SQL query?

Hello,
I use Zen Cart version 1.3.5.
I am trying to add a new product (in the category TEST and without attributes) directly by phpmyadmin (then i will write the SQL query, for now I would only to know how it works).

I have inserted the datas in the following tables:
products
products_description
product_to_categories

When in the admin section I click on category list, in correspondence of the category TEST, there is written "1 of 1 active".
When I click on the category TEST I do not found any products.

Please can anyone help me ? are there other tables to modify ?

This is my first post, I have read the forum and I hope that I haven't broken any forum law.

Why are you giving yourself such an awkward challenge?

Easy Populate will do mass inserts and updates of product data for you, from a tab-delimited TXT (spreadsheet) file.

I know Easy Populate but I need to insert products directly by phpmyadmin to understand how it works.
I think it is not so difficult ...

There is something that I neglect, there is some table that I don't update.
I hope there is someone that know which tables I must update.

To assist in your goal of learning what it takes to add a new product via SQL I recommend:

1) download a copy of the complete zen cart database from your store
2) use zen cart to add a new product
3) download a second copy of the complete zen cart database from your store
4) compare the two databases.
5) this will show what changed, or what you could have inserted via sql

Hope this gives you what you need.
