    Default HTML Email template

How do I get my order email (that gets sent to the customer) back to what it was before. All of a sudden the email that gets sent to the customer is not in the HTML format anymore. It seems to have changed to a non-html format.

I recall installing some add-ons a while back but because I only noticed that the customer's email was not in the HTML format quite some time after I actually installed the add-ons I can't seem to find which page may have been overridden and can't find what I might have changed.

Any ideas where to look to find where the HTML email is called after a customer completes an order.

HTML-formatted emails are SENT *only* when ALL of the following conditions are met:
    a) HTML/MIME format is enabled in your admin
    b) Customer has elected to choose HTML-formatted emails
    c) You have the HTML email templates present in the /email/ folder of your site, and haven't changed permissions in any way that would prevent PHP from reading them (defaults are recommended)

Occasionally even though the email may be SENT in HTML format, it may ARRIVE without the HTML section displaying properly, for a few possible reasons:
    a) your hosting company's webserver stripped the HTML out because it appeared to violate a spam rule
    b) the recipient's hosting company stripped the HTML out because it appeared to violate a spam rule
    c) the recipient is using a free webmail-based email reader which alters the HTML content in a way that prevents your content from being displayed as desired
    d) you composed the email (altered the HTML in the template) to use advanced XHTML/CSS that's not supported by the recipient's email client
    e) the recipient is using an email program which doesn't render the HTML portion properly
    f) the recipient has changed their email program settings to disallow HTML content, either as a general rule or perhaps only from senders whom they've not whitelisted as known senders

There are a number of things that influence whether mail is "viewed" in HTML, or not...

Start by checking your own mail settings on your local computer mail client.

Then check settings in your admin panel (configuration>>>e-mail options).

If your customer (of you, in the case of a test customer) has elected to receive TXT emails, then that's how they'll be sent, and how they'll appear.

So, it's a number of possibilities... check them first, and only if there is still an issue, start looking at possible code problems.
