    Default Time restricted downloadable product

    Hi

I'm new to Zen Cart, but slowly getting to grips with it. What I want to be able to do is sell downloadable content and streaming video tutorials. The content and video will be stored on password protected web pages.

On successful completion of a purchase is it possible to trigger my own PHP code, which would use the customer's details to generate a unique password and email it to them? The password will only be valid for a limited time.

Is this possible? Has anyone already done anything similar to this with Zen Cart? I've bought software online before and the store worked in a similar way. Just not sure if Zen Cart can do that or not.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Default Re: Time restricted downloadable product

Zen Cart provides links to downloadable products only after payment has been received. The download links are accessible only from the customer's logged-in user profile, and the links expire after an admin-selectable time period and/or number of times downloaded by that customer.
There is not a built-in password generation functionality, although there are ways of writing custom code to accommodate that if that's really required in addition to the controlled access already provided.
