help question Removing (more) from sideboxes

    Hi

Can you remove the text (more) from the sidebox titles, eg. Featured (more) and Specials (more)?

    Thanks

    Bu,
    Category Link Removal [More]

The [more] indicates that the header is a link, but if you want to change or remove it, you can become familiar with the Developers Toolkit in admin > Tools > Developers Toolkit

Paste the [more] in the lower left box, select all files and search. Among the results will be the file and line number where this is defined, and you can open that file in a good text editor and change the [more], or eliminate it leaving only the two single quotes ''. Those must stay.

Curious as to why this question just came up twice, I went looking at my two shops. I do not have the [more] link appearing in any of the sideboxes, but I do have the default define('BOX_HEADING_LINKS', '  [more]'); in my includes/languages/english.php file.

This strongly suggests there is a switch in admin for turning these off, without requiring any editing of files. Though where this switch might be in the admin is something I can't recall.

    Hi

I have removed the text as described - Thanks!

As to why some appear to have the wording and some not - perhaps we can do a survey to work out why:

I only have the Specials and Featured boxes as side boxes not in the centre panel.
I have the text links showing at the bottom of my Categories list.

    Does that help any?
