Customer login issues

Hi Fellow Zenners!

I have an issue with one of my zencart sites, whereby people are having issues logging in to view prices.

www.dropship-gifts.co.uk

Basically after creating an account and logging in, instead of being presented with account history etc in the header of the website it doesnt recognise that you have logged in at all, and you just have the login link only. This problem is intermittent and I have a feeling it mainly effect IE7 users. Even stranger this issue only occurs if you login from the home page, logging in from any other page on the site is fine, so it's something to do with the index file methinks....

Has anyone had similar issues? Please feel free to create a dummy account and test (use zentest or similar so I can delete afterwards)

Cheers!!!

Re: Customer login issues

I create an account and get logged in and if I log out I can login again ...

I am not approved to shop yet ...

And when I logged in and made my address for my US address you don't know what state I live in as you did not ask me for my state ...

Re: Customer login issues

I am having the same intermittent issue with my store and IE7 users (as you noted above), and I am beginning to think it has something to do with the ridiculous amount of security within IE7. Is there some setting in ZenCart that might be triggering something in IE7's security setup? Just a thought.

Thanks!

Re: Customer login issues

Hi Linda

Thanks for your response, I have enabled your account....

Once you login you should start seeing the prices (hopefully you don't, so you can see the problem..)

This only seems to occur when logging in from the home page particularly on IE7 and is happening with several users.

Thanks!

What happens if you turn off the SEO stuff?

Re: Customer login issues

Hi Linda

Sorry for the late reply, I have turned off SEO URLS and still have the same problem. I think this is effecting Windows Vista clients only, i have one customer who cannot log in via IE7 or firefox version 3.0.7 (latest).

Many Thanks!

Re: Customer login issues

Your SEO stuff is creating really bad URLs ...
/high-ball-glass-wedding-collection©-p-71.html?cPath=19_20

You will notice that you can probably login from these browsers from the Home page where they fail when trying to login from the products page or anything else with the SEO built URLS ...

I think you should get that fixed before anything else or get rid of it ...

Then you have secure issues with insecure images:

See if any of this helps ...
