Default Changing file names at transfer

I am trying to transfer/upload all of the files from the zencart file download. I have run into 11 files that I cannot transfer/upload because the file names begin with a dot. I am uploading to Yahoo Small Business. What can I do to change these file names and where else should things be edited so that these files can be used/read properly?

Yahoo Hosting apparently doesn't support the added security offered by the supplied .htaccess files. You'll have to skip them and do without the security protections.

I would add that hosting with "generic" sites like Yahoo could present you with additional problems.

E-Commerce is a serious undertaking - particularly when you start getting customer data and credit card data for gateway processing. The way the servers are set up (cURL, etc) often affects the ability of the software to perform.

If you are keen to start and run a proper e-commerce site, then you should look for a hosting company that understands (in our case) zencart, and who ensures their systems are set up for it.
