Product status after import/export help please

Hi,

We are having a website developed that imports XML from a supplier.
We also have a POS system called Atrex that imports / exports products to the website as well.
A problem that we are having is the xml feed gets updated and the catagories and products all show up fine then Atrex does a product update of its own items but seems to make all the XML feed products status turn to OFF. So we have plenty of catagories but nothing in them.
I can go into admin and see under catagories the products and quantities but they are turned off.
Any way of stopping this from happening?

Can anyone shed some light on my problem?

I now have the script PHP from Atrex that is run when it does it import/export if anyone knows what to do with it.
