My question isn't specifically about ZenCart shopping cart, but I don't know where else to go for help with this. I have a store run with ZenCart, but I've also got a store that I purchased complete and I don't know which shopping cart software was used to create it. However, it is formatted very much like zencart, so I was hoping somebody could help me fix my problem.
Here's the deal. I originally installed this bookstore software on one server and set it up fine there. Then, due to problems with that server, I moved my files for that store to the server I have my zencart store on. I uploaded the mysql database and all of the files and set up new usernames and passwords for the database on the new server. Everything about the store is working fine except the admin area. I can't log in to my admin area to edit the store. I've been searching through all of the files on the server and can't find a file folder that contains the information the admin script is using to access the admin area, but I do know that it is still seeing my old database name instead of the new one. Does anybody have any suggestions about what files contain the instruction to the log in screen that tells it where to look for the database name so I can change the database name it is trying to access to the one on my new server?
Any advice anyone wants to give would be greatly appreciated. P.S. I no longer have the install file I used to install the software originally or I would just reinstall it and set it up fresh.
Thanks,
Ann Gibson
