Define Pages Editor Not Working With My Custom Template

I've searched the forums for an answer to this and haven't quiet seen my situation yet. If there is a post that I missed please link me!

I have set up a custom template using the override files. The templates seem to work, but when I select my custom template in the admin the "Define Custom Pages" section stops working. I don't get an error.

I'm wondering if there's something I forgot to include in my custom template folder that tells the "Define Custom Pages" admin page where to save the content?

I created a "define_main_page.php" override page and put it in the "<root>/includes/languages/english/html_includes/<custom_templage>/" folder. The web site shows the right content, and the Define Custom Pages shows the right HTML when I try to edit it in the admin area, it's just not saving.

Any help would be appreciated. :)

have you checked to make sure that the define file is writeable? (chmod 777)

All of the override files have a 666 file permission which allows read/write access.

I get no message that the file is not editable when it's 666, yet no error when I try to save. If I change the file permissions to 444 I get the "Error: I can not write to this file. " message.

I don't know if this information helps or not, but I am able to edit the "define_..." files through FTP software, just can't with the ZenCart admin.

Not sure what to look for at this point with no errors. ZenCart is displaying the right files, and pulling the right files up for edit, it's just not saving.

Evidently this was some weird folder permission problem that my host had to resolve. It's now fixed. :)
