removing the space between sidebox header image and content

Hello there, I'm trying to cobble together a zencart and I've made an image for the background of the heading of the sideboxes, but I'm now trying to get rid of a bit of the space between it and the contents of the box.

The image is only 30px tall but the div it's in seems to think it's bigger than that. I've tried stating that the div is 30px inthe stylesheet but it ain't done much!

Any tips would be appreciated

Find this:

margin-top:10px;
}

1. Delete the red font above the upload to your site

I noticed on your site the Header tab: HOME_PAGE_TITLE

1. includes/ languages/ english/ your_template/ meta_tags.php
2. remember to leave the single '' around the wording
3. EX: The art of Zen Cart should look like this: 'The art of Zen Cart'
4. Or if you upgraded
5. this override file is the wrong version
6. Use Winmerge and compare the two, update the new version to match the old and upload to the server
7. the meta_tags.php file was changed in 1.3.8

hi there, thanks for the response. I tried what you said but that removed the wrong bit of white space. It's the bit just underneath the sidebox header rather than the actual header I want to remove.

in the attachment there is a red box around the div thats the problem, I want to remove the white space in the bottom half of that box

if you only want to change the spacing for category box , then add following to your stylesheet.css



#categoriesHeading {
height:20px;
}


if you want to change for all side boxes .. then locate this rules .


.leftBoxHeading {stylesheet.css (line 560)
background-image:url(../images/leftboxbg.gif);
background-repeat:no-repeat;
color:#7C7C7C;
height:30px;
width:150px;
}

change the height value to something else and this will effect all left side boxes.

Thanks so much mate... that did the trick (I've changed design but still had the same problem)

Although now I have a different problem now I have it like I want it in FF it has a big white space problem in IE! the pink header bar appears twice as tall and there is a big space btw header and logo.

Any suggestions? How do you guys know this stuff anyway, I know all about the ff webdeveloper addon and it's full of useful info, and I know I'm meant to go CSS>view style info... but how exactly do I know which part of the style sheet to change? What it says in the window at the bottom of the screen is most of the time quite different to whats actually in my stylesheet (as far as I can tell anyway)

i have no clue why happening like this in IE . there will be others with more experience will guide you in fixing this , and i would like to know the solution as well . Sorry

what script are you using to show the shopping cart in your header ?
if is possible to give me the exact code that you entered in your header so i can do some more work on the IE problem .
