Help!!! Product Weight Problem

Hi, this is my problem.

I have product weights which need setting up for each product with a different price effect from a dropdown menu.

e.g.

Product 1

250g - A Price
500g - B Price
750g - C Price
1kg - D Price

Product 2

250g - E Price
500g - F Price
750g - G Price
1kg - H Price


So the price is never the same per weight, it changes for each product.

Also there will be a product quantity box so the price will need to be calculated on the amount of products added per weight.

Hope that all makes sense.

Please can somebody help me with this?

You can either:

1. Create SEPARATE products for each weight unit.
2. Invoke ATTRIBUTES where customers select the desired weight via an attribute dropdown.

Ok No.2 option sounds like what I want although I get very confused with how product attributes would work in this way so how would i go about this?
