Google checkout order notification failing

I'm setting up GC for the first time, and have been working on it for a couple months or so... and it has always done this. It seems to happen no matter what settings I use -- I've tried setting Google to use HTML pairs, I've tried setting it for XML, and I've changed the GCO module to work with .htaccess and without. No matter what I do (so far) I keep getting the same old error.

I found the following in the Google Checkout Merchant Help (http://checkout.google.com/support/s...errors_77777):

"Error Message:
Bad username/password

You'll receive this message if:
There's an error with the basic authentication in your XML post header

Solution:
Make sure the Merchant Key in your shopping cart matches the Merchant Key given by Google Checkout. Remove extra white spaces surrounding the Merchant Key."

Is there a way to test (and see) what data Google is sending back to the responsehandler.php page??

I have the same problem. Today I purchased a SSL certificate and my website is working fine. I did this investment tired to receive by email the message We've made several unsuccessful attempts...."

Now... I receive the same email again!!!! ... The "Integration Issue detail is.. We encountered an error trying to access your server at https://www.ohmyicons.com/googlechec...nsehandler.php -- the error we got is Send failed with code: 500.

Any of you can help me with this? thanks!!!
