I have a new distributor that charges $5 to ship but order has to be at least $25 order...my other distributor I have a shipping table for..
------
What I plan on doing is , us the This product is always free, and the free shipping module. But I would like to set a $25 minimum and I am going to set the handeling charge to $4.99... So I will make every picture and say, spend $25 on any product wtih the star and get $4.99, all products marked products can be combined and receive $4.99??? Or unless anyone has another idea?
---
How do I set a minimum to the free shipping module. Thanks!
yes.. but their shipping goes from $9 to $50 and $2 every order + $2.50 on orders under $16.50
the new distributor is order has to be over $25 and shipping is a flat $5
You will really need to do quite a bit of customization for this to control that the order from the specific manufacturer is $25.00 or more when in the cart and then customize the shipping module to manage mixed orders ...
There is an add on module for minimum orders that you might use to customize for this ...
Then on the shipping you can add the additional amount to the cost when the order has products from the one manufacturer in it ...
what if i set the Free Shipping Module to:
Must be great than 100lbs
mini order :$25.00
-------------------------------------
Mark each product picture with something says a star, on the product description page and the shipping info, combine any item(s) with a star are recieve $4.99 shipping for the whole order... Then each $4.99 shipping item mark their weight over 100lbs...
Only thing is what if they dont reach the $25...they get shipping for $8.99 because the table shipping should take over if they dont reach the $25 correct?

alittle confussing but what i can come up with that may work
nvm that wont work because if they add other products from the other distributor it won't work correctly... my best bet is to use freeshpper "always free" with a $4.99 handeling fee... I just need a way for a $25 minium to be set to free shipper, tried to take code from free ship option no luck
Free Shipping freeshipper is designed for being the only shipping module when the Order weight is 0 and 0 weight means Free Shipping or all Products are set to Always Free Shipping YES ...
Now this could work if only this distributor's Products were in the cart and you customize it for orders over 25.00 and set the Handling to 4.99 ... however, this is not managing when the Order is a mixed order from multiple distributors unless you customize your other shipping module(s) and some how manage the distributor's rule on the minimum $25.00 order ...
You need to addressed this issue to cover all of these conditions:
1 if 1 or more products are from this distributor then that distributor's products in the cart total at least $25.00 or more ... (note: that is not order total that is just the products for that distributor) then the before going any further ... that amount is tested to allow checkout ...
2 If the $25.00 for that distributor is the only thing in the order, then you can use the Free Shipping freeshipper based on the premise that 0 weight and always free shipping are only on this distributor's products and set the handling to 4.99 ...
3 if the order is mixed distributors and the order has $25.00 or more from this distributor then you customize the other shipping module(s) to add the 4.99 to the shipping costs ...
4 if the order is mixed distributors and the order does NOT have $25.00 or more from this distributor then you are stopping the checkout from happening ... until the order either has the additional products added or all products removed for this distributor ...
So ... there really isn't an easy way around this without testing and handling all circumstances based on what's in the cart and how much from this distributor ...
well the distributor B with the $5 shipping on any order but has to be $25 or more.... I can get the same products from distributor A but then thats just goes under the shipping table prices.... hurmm so if they don't order $25 of B i can get from A..... confussing i have to come up with some plan... Its just is alot cheaper shipping with B
