Sorry, I just realized I was misreading it on the FAQ.

I see after pasting it above that the DIR_FS_CATALOG has been removed from the original path. And by "appropriate adjustments" the FAQ probably means removing "/zencart/catalog" from the DIR_FS_CATALOG definition to get the first part of the new download directory path.
