    Default Site Map

I tried searching the forum and tutorials about this, but cant find the answer..please forgive me if I have overlooked something very obvious.

I found numerous references to the google site map and it being an extra add on..but what is the default site map that comes with Zen (Version 1.3.8a). I know I never installed it, so I am gathering it is a different thing to the google sitemap.

My question is..are there settings for this. How can I control what it is showing, because it shows pages that I have disabled etc.

Something tells me I am going to feel like a total nitwit upon learning the answer. But would someone mind helping me out here.

The site map generated automagically in Zen Cart is not the same as the Google site map, which is something that gets uploaded to Google.

Zen Cart's site map is controlled, as usual, in the admin -- mostly. Go to...
admin/Configuration/Define Page Status and down at the bottom, where it says Define Page 2 (and 3 and 4) set to 3 anything you don't want appearing in the site map.

If you want one or more of them in the site map, but want a real title instead of Page 2, edit the defines in file includes/languages/english.php around line 144 or so.

Thanks... I'm sure I looked in there but most have skimmed right past it. Told you I would feel like a nitwit when learning the answer

I believe software is designed from the ground up to make most people feel like nitwits. It's how nerds get their revenge for being mocked in high school.

I totally agree...lol. And just to go a bit further down nitwit road..what about pages that show up in the site map, but are not listed in the Define Page Status section. For example, I dont want a link to the reviews page in the site map, but it still shows even though I have all the other review functions turned off (so I think)

You need to customize the file:
