Need some help please :)

Hi guys,

I'm brand new to Zen Cart and have been playing around with it for a few days, trying to work out if I'm going to be able to use it :)

I have a couple of questions, and I've looked around for the info but can't find it. I do apologise if it's easy to find, my head is just filled with so much new stuff at the moment.

I'm using the latest version of Zen Cart, and it seems by default the categories are displayed both in the side menu and also under the header graphic. I'd like to remove the ones under the header graphic as I don't think I need two lots on each page.

I'm also not sure how to remove the banner add from the bottom of the page. I want the Zen Cart text link to be there, but not the graphic advertising Zen Cart.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi Kristen,

You can modify layout boxed by going to Tools > Layout Boxes this also allow you to modify banners boxes.

I not entirely sure if you can turn off the bottom banner from here. But I know you can manage particular banners by going to Tools > Banner Manager.

Thanks for that, it sorted put the bottom banner, now I just need to know how to get rid of the double category links.

TIP when starting new zencart...
Add one category, and one product for that category..
then install payment module/s you intend using...
can you purchase that item using payment mod/s installed....
Save you entering lots of info, then finding noone can buy them...
