Not one single FAQ on how to add a module (for first-time zen cart users)

I have a linux account thru Godaddy and just installed the Zen Cart application.

I logged into the Admin section and made minor changes to the settings. Number of Product displays and min and max of character lengths, that sort of thing.

I have over 3,000 products to import. Before I really start to mod the overall store and product page layouts, I wanted to add them. This way I can use real example products to determine the best type of layout for my store.

So I go to the Wiki and read through that documentation.

Then I browse over most of the "Admin" FAQ articles.

I found articles mentioning a module called "Easy Populate", articles talking about changing it, and fixing minor issues, etc.

I clicked the "Free Software Addons" link on the main page, then entered "Easy Populate" in the search box, and up comes the link for "Easy Populate Free - from langer / modhole".

Great! I download the software to my desktop. Now I know I have to add these files to the Zen Cart directory on my webserver... but where do they go, do I need to extrapolate anything?

So in the FAQ pages, the WIKI and yes, even this forum I enter the following search terms:

"Install Module"
"Module Add-on" / "Module Addon"
"Add a module"

Would you believe there is not one single article or FAQ that is just about adding a single module to the site????

There are Assumptions in the Wiki Page on "Easy Populate" but no where else are there any instructions on how to add the downloaded files to a webserver???

What's the deal with that???

I would really appreciate any help and can even write the article for doing it, if someone just tell me...

Each module could be different - So they should all have installation instructions in the download and also a support thread on the forum.

and most answers can be found in this LONG thread.The mod. itself is fairly easy to install by FTP ing all the files to the admin folder as the mod works in the admin end only.
