Default Setting up 1 product with multple sizes - reduce stock item for that size?.

I searched and searched but i think i am not describing it correctly.
example: i am selling t shirts and i have 3 different sizes for the same shirt. I created a drop down attribute for that ONE product that has the sizes listed. (in the product page it asks for stock on hand) If someone orders a large, how will i know, as far as stock keeping for reordering, that the large sold- i hope i said it correct. Thank you

In the free software addons link at the top of this page get the 3rd party module, "stock by attributes"

I tried "stock by attributes" and don't think it is working as I would hope. I need to be able to have one product i.e. t-shirt with multiple colors i.e. blue, red, etc and have it so that when someone purchases a t-######## > red it will remove it from my red stock. After setting up "stock by attributes" I was able to select 5 red shirts even though I only had one in stock. Any thoughts?

I am having the same problem!

    Zen Cart 1.3.8a
    Database Patch Level: 1.3.8
    Already loaded "Stock by Attributes"

I would like to show stock levels by size.

Blue shirt comes in s, m, l, xl. I also added a donation attribute.

I go into the "Products by Stock Attribute" I see the name of the product with three dropdowns

    Size:
    Donation:
    Quantity:

I select the "small" size leaving the donation set to "all" then add "5" to the quantity.

It adds 5 to all the variations of the donation attribute. Giving me a wrong inventory of small shirts.

What do I need to do?
