Checkout button below shopping cart sidebox?

Hello

I am using version 1.3.8.

I am testing my online store now. One of the things that i miss (so do others) is that when a customer has put a product in the shopping cart, the shopping cart is shown in a sidebox at the right side. That is fine.
But I would like to have the option "Checkout" below the shopping cart in the sidebox when someone has put a product there. The "checkout" option is only avalaibel in the header, which sometimes does not get seen by the customer and therefore gets confused.

Is that possible? If so how?
