My option value isn't working

Check out my page below. I need to offer people one attribute where they can pick from several different extra things that can be added to their order, each adding a different amount to the item. For instance, on my tire changing stand page I want customers to decide if they want a standard, deluxe, or no additional tire iron kit at all. But right now my options, as shown at the page below, are not adding anything to my total and despite all my reading I'm still not sure why. Can someone please help?

R1,
First you need to set your sort order correctly
Please select 0
None 5
Deluxe 10

Now associate these to the product page and add them
Deluxe will have a price of 19.95

Re: My option value isn't working

I'm not sure the sort order has anything to do with your problem.

You described one problem but gave a link to a product with a different problem. I'll try to answer both.

For the product you provided the link, it looks like the option is not which product to add but whether to add it. I don't think radio buttons are the best option for that, I'd use a checkbox. Name it "Click to add below item to your order" so you can use the same checkbox for different items. Give it a value of "TK3000 Mounting Kit" - don't worry about the price, you'll add that later and ZC will display it to shoppers. Then use "Attribute Controller" to add the attribute and add the $19.99 price (and weight, if you ship by weight). (I have a link to my detailed instructions on adding attributes below.)

For the additional tire iron kit you described, a radio button would work fine (although the check box would work also). You can still use the "click to add" name you already set up, but create values of None, Standard, and Deluxe. Then add them using Attribute Controller and add the designated costs (and shipping weight) as well. Be SURE to select one of the attributes as the default.

Once all that is done, if you don't like the order in which the options are displayed, you can edit the sort order to change the display.

Hope this helps!

R1,
You are most welcome, glad I could sort out the attributes for you.

Nice site by the way...

Re: My option value isn't working

Hey Mark, we were wrong. When I added a 1 pound attribute item to my 13 pound item it showed 13.16 pounds. This means the weight feature is in pounds so 1 = 1 pound. Just letting you know.

Re: My option value isn't working

Btw, one thing I should have mentioned is that my page doesn't display well when using more than one attribute. Check out the page below. I added these attributes weeks ago and look how they display. It isn't good. I'd like to get the second column of attributes to display to the right of the first attributes, only at the same height and with some spacing. Got any idea what I might try?
