Special Coupon specificly for a product

Using 1.3.8a - I have been seaching for the past 6 days for anything similiar to what I want to do and have come across nothing, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Obviously, we have about 20 different products in our catalog. What I would like to do is have a set coupon code, say "1234". When the customer enters that code into the store, it automaticly brings up Product XYZ.

Now here is the fun part. Currently, all our products automaticly have a 10% off sale connected to them. Product XYZ is usually 60.00 minus the 10% sale offer. I would like it when the customer enters the coupon code of "1234" in the cart (or as a redemption coupon, whatever to make this work), the cart ignores everything and puts Product XYZ as a flat 50.00. Then check out resumes as normal from there (adds tax, shipping, etc etc etc).

Please, please, please, any ideas as how to do this would be greatly appreciated. My gratitudes and thanks in advance...

I am not following the bouncing ball ...

If I do NOT have a coupon and I add Product XYZ, which is priced at $60.00, ... the price is $60 less the 10% discount on all Products ...

Is that 10% done with SaleMaker? Specials? Or how?


If I DO have a coupon and I add Product XYZ, the Price is $60 less the 10% which is $50 ...

Now because I add coupon 1234, it takes me to that product from adding that coupon from "somewhere" ...


Now, what is the difference there? Anything different besides I type in "somewhere" the discount coupon 1234 and get sent to the Product?

Am I allowed to buy other things with that Discount Coupon having been entered "somewhere"?

Does the Discount Coupon affect the Price in anyway?

Sorry, guess my bouncing ball is lopsided...

Using SaleMaker, there is a 10% off all tours offered by us as a "rule". There is 7 tours ranging from $30.00 per person up to $350.00 per person. So, say Tour 3 is $60.00 per person. When they book online with us, we will give them an automatic 10% off the price ($60.00 - 10% = $56.00 per person).

We want to offer a select group of local business' here a coupon code that, when entered it will give them Tour 3 (the $60.00 tour) for a Tour 2 pricing ($50.00 per person) instead of $56.00 per person.

Is my ball round again?

Sorry, we just want one coupon to work. Meaning ONLY the Tour 3 ($60.00 per person) to discount to the Tour 2 pricing ($50.00 per person). It will not work for any other tours.

Set the coupon to be $6.00 off on that Product only ... now they get the price for $60 - 10% = $56.00 - $6.00 = $50.00 and only get that discount on the one product ...

Is there a way to "block" that coupon so the $6.00 discount can only be used for Tour 3?
