Default Why sales tax is being rounded up?

I have the latest version of ZenCart. I have set California sales tax at 8.25%.
Customer sales total comes to $21.85. 8.25% of that is $1.802625. But ZenCart is showing the total of $1.81. It should be showing $1.80.

Why is ZenCart rounding up? Is there a setting?

Zen Cart calculates tax on a per item basis. It shouldn't, but it does.

If you look at the specific prices for each item in a test order, and calculate the tax yourself on each item, rounding each one properly, you should get the same total Zen Cart gets.

There have been many discussions about this in the Setting Up Your Zen Cart / Currencies & Sales Taxes, VAT, GST, etc. section of the forum. You can find some solutions there.
