Stuck at phpBB page during installation

Hi everyone.

I'm new here and installing my first shopping cart for a client.

I'm using v1.3.8a, the site is running on a Linux system on a shared server and I have created the database for Zen Cart to live in.

It's been pretty straightforward so far but I've hit a blank page, and although I've read the announcement on blank pages and begun troubleshooting, I thought I might put the question across to see if anyone has a specific cure for my problem as it may save me some time.

Basically, during installation I'm asked if I want to use phpBB forums. I select "no" and click the "save phpBB settings" button. I'm then presented with a blank page and cannot continue.

If anyone has found a specific cure for this problem then I'd love to know, otherwise thanks for reading and I'll continue to go through the troubleshooting guide.

More than likely some of your uploaded files are corrupted.

For some reason I was missing an entire folder which I have now uploaded and can proceed onto the next part of the installation. Thank you DrByte, you've saved me a lot of time!
