Google XML Sitemap Admin: Yahoo Ping Error

I'm using Zen Cart v1.3.8a and Google XML Sitemap administrator v1.3.19 20.04.2008 17:24.

I just installed Google XML Sitemap administrator on a site that is just getting started. When I go in Tools->Google XML Sitemap and update my sitemap (step 1) and then ping Google, Yahoo, Ask.com and MSN, they all respond with a success message except Yahoo, which gives me the following error (I've substituted "my domain" for the actual domain name):

cURL Error: Error http_code '503 ' reading 'http://search.yahooapis.com/SiteExplorerService/V1/ping?sitemap=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.my domain.com%2Fsitemapindex.xml'.

The site is registered and verified with Yahoo.

I've spent a lot of time searching the FAQs, the forums, and the web for a solution, but have come up with nothing other than one guy with a similar problem who hijacked another post to ask about it and hasn't gotten any responses.

How do I get Google XML Sitemap to work with Yahoo?

I just checked and now pinging Yahoo is working.

I guess it was just a temporary problem on Yahoo's end, because I haven't changed anything.

I just had the same error, but when I pinged Yahoo on its own it worked okay.

Ive got the same problem. This is the error that I recieve

cURL Error: Error http_code '403 ' reading 'http://search.yahooapis.com/SiteExplorerService/V1/ping?sitemap=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.MYDOMAIN.com%2Fsitemapindex.xml'.

I have tried to ping yahoo alone and it still dont work.

I had this same error. It took me several tries but it finally went through. Joy!

I've been trying this repeatedly over the last few weeks and it simply won't ping Yahoo. I just get this:

Sitemap location don't specify in robots.txt

Not yet... I'm trying a few things from the Yahoo side - but their servers are taking their sweet time with updating/validating.

The 403 error on the site states that 'you don't have access' to that file, or you've gone over your rate limit. Kind of strange since I do manual 'pings' (we're a small shop)

I've verified that the .xml exists and is at the right local access file rights. (the other two MSN/Google work fine)

After reading the yahoo stuff - I've deleted my sitefeed there and have recreated it via the 'ooml' option. Will check it later tonight... and we're not the only ones having the issue - but there's no answers out there on the interweb-thingy just yet.

And, of course - if anyone DOES figure it out... hey - can you let us know? :)
