How to create a coupon/discount code during Checkout?

Do you have some rules for this automatic coupon issuance? Exactly how do you want this to work?

Here is example. I have a blog I want to promote my site and offer a 10% coupon to blog readers. That reader will go back to my site, select a product, then inthe checkout process, there will be a coupon code box that will discount the product by the amount I set that particular coupon for.
