make product details show up in "featured products" center box on main page

Hi all,

I have ONE featured product that my client wants to push via the home page of their Zen cart (1.3.8, unix). We've added the product, made it a featured item, and turn on the featured box for the main page. But it's just the image and a link to the product page.

I'd like to make the product details (description, price, add to cart button, etc.) show up in "featured products" center box on main page so it's a 1-stop action for the customers to get this limited edition item. I figured I might need to change the template for the featured box, but I don't know what code to put in there.

Alternatively, I'd place the correct code into the define text of the main page, which would achieve the same thing (I'd just have to remember to take it down when the feature is over, which can be done automatically with the admin featured items dates thing.

Check the other displays - new,, all, product listing - and if one of these is closer to what you want -

There is a thread by yellow1912 on making others look like one and you would have to rearrange this if you choose one different than the thread outlines

I think you're referring to this thread. If so, it's making my head hurt. I cannot wrap my head around what needs to happen. If this is the wrong thread, can you point me to the one you're talking about?
