    Default Incorrectly displaying cart

    Hi,

I've uploaded and had a little play with the demo store. For some reason its not dispplaying the boxes and borders.

It should look something like the clasic on here (sorry, site offline)/templates.html

    but instead looks like. www.empiregamestore.co.uk/zencart/

Any ideas on what i'm missing?

I'm sure its something simple, but can't find anything on it in search.

This is the message I am getting for your stylesheet
    Code:
    <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//IETF//DTD HTML 2.0//EN">
    <HTML><HEAD>
    <TITLE>500 Internal Server Error</TITLE>
    </HEAD><BODY>
    <H1>Internal Server Error</H1>
The server encountered an internal error or
misconfiguration and was unable to complete
    your request.<P>
    Please contact the server administrator,
[email protected] and inform them of the time the error occurred,
and anything you might have done that may have
    caused the error.<P>
More information about this error may be available
    in the server error log.<P>
    </BODY></HTML>
Something is wrong with your configure file. Re-install Zen cart or verify the configure file is correct.

I have re-installed software and its still doing exactly the same thing. No boxes or borders. I'm at a bit of a loss as to why as I followed the install instructions.

(This time I didnt install the demo store but the template should still be there)

    Hi cloakvai,

I was actually having the same problem and the solution that I've found (just two hours ago lol) is to change the permissions of the includes folder to 755 (and then don't forget to change the configure.php filo to 644 or 444). Hope this helps!

Thanks for the idea gnrocks, unfortunately doesn't do any thing for me. (had already tried that as it happens)

My includes was already set to 755. Configure is set to 644, no matter which way i go at it i cannot change it from 644 to 444 though. It seems to reset itself back to 644.

Strangely its showing me this message. Warning: I am able to write to the configuration file: /home/fhlinux219/e/empiregamestore.co.uk/user/htdocs/zencart/includes/configure.php. This is a potential security risk - please set the right user permissions on this file (read-only, CHMOD 644 or 444 are typical). You may need to use your webhost control panel/file-manager to change the permissions effectively. Contact your webhost for assistance.

Which is odd as the setting is 644! However i do notice it showing the file path as /user/htdocs/zencart/includes (the odd thing is there is no file called user on my website. (unless its an invisible one that zen has added without my knowledge directly on the server)

Turns out the problem was caused by .htaccess and my isp, rather than my install or config. Guess thats why no one could solve it.

Now I can fiddle around with it all. (no doubt find another whole mess load of issues hahaha)

    Cheers
