zencart loading issues

I am currently running version 1.3.7.1 of zencart. The past 2 nights i have noticed that when i try and load any of my zencart pages(including the admin) i get the following error:

1036 Table 'sessions' is read only

I was told by my hosting company that other users were having the same problem and that they could not help me since my version of zen was not currently supported. Therefore I am asking the forum, esp any of you that still use 1.3.7.1, if they have been experiencing the problem that I am and what to do about it.

Any host worth their salt should have some type of terms of service condition similar to the following where they will assist when it becomes apparent that there is something they have changed/upgraded causing this

"Scripts which worked for weeks/months and have no modifications done, but suddenly stopped working"

now today i wake up and pages either hang pretty badly or I am getting the following error:

Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, [email protected] and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.


and also this error message:

[select * from project_version WHERE project_version_key = 'Zen-Cart Database' ]

I have e-mailed my host again to again ask if this is being caused by something on their end and not my end... waiting for a reply... again is anyone else experiencing this issue and or know how to fix it. is it host or client side?

... then it seems to be OK now as I can see it no problems.

yeah i see it is back up...

this leaves me wondering if this was something with my server and they weren't telling me or if it was some kind of hack...

i guess i'll never know.

If you did NOTHING to any of the code, it's usually a server glitch. Your host occasionally may have to tweak or even re-boot a server, and they seldom make these quick routine events public.

this seems to be occuring at about 1:50 am central time USA and lasts till about 7 or 8 for the past 3 days (or at least this is how long i have happened to catch it for).

i would like to know if anyone else out there is experienceing the same error at this time period to see if this is just my hosting company doing some kind of server work or if it is a hacker that is working his magjc at an hour where most people are asleep.

again i am running version 1.3.7.1 of zen and this is only affecting my zencart pages and not any pages that dont require zen

ie

www.chelseasbeads.com

will work fine

but

www.chelseasbeads.com/shop will give the error messsage.

this same cyle of events has happened the past 3 days

ok its now 5:07am and the site is running fine again.

can anyone tell me why i am having this same issue where the site goes down with a 1036 error at 1 50 am then changes to a database not found error at about 3 am then goes back online as if nothing is wrong at 5 am

i am not doign any modifications on my site at all while this goes on and it has happened like 3 nights in a row.
