    Default [Done 1.3.9] Issues with payment - allowing methods that are turned off

    I've now seen this twice the past week.
    VErsion 1.3.8a, with cc processor software installed, as well as several other mods. none that I know of to affect the database.

    Anyway - I ONLY have my credit card processor installed and allowed as payment method.
    I had one sale come through last week where the cart allowed the default CC process - although it was turned off in my admin. Additionally, it didn't capture shipping address or billing address, or shipping amount. Credit card was processed for full amount INCLUDING shipping, but order total and email show only amount for goods.

    Today -
    It didn't capture billing address, and for some reason allowed the customer to select check/money order - although that method has NEVER been allowed on this site. Shipping total did show up on the email this time, however...

    Any clue what can be going on here? and how I can fix it?

    What version of Zen Cart ? What payment module?

    Sorry - I was in the process of getting the screen shot.
    Zen cart 1.3.8a

    It's occurred with two different payment modules that aren't installed.

    The first instance - order 5536 - happened april 1.

    The second one - order 5545 - happened today.

    there have been HUGE changes with this cart in the last couple of days - I was hoping to circumvent this happening again - and there it is...

    Changes made last night and today:
    1. I've moved to a different account on my hosting, to allow a dedicated IP address and dedicated SSL (instead of shared).

    2. When I moved it, something quit working with my old payment addon module (payjunction) - but since I'm in the process of converting over to a new one anyway, I switched the cart over to the new one. I posted that error condition under "Payment modules". Keep in mind - I've now seen that error with both payment processors.

    That's all that changed. Please help... (of course, we all say that...)

    When you moved the site - did you change Databases? Have you uninstalled the modules and reinstalled them since the move? Be sure to uninstall ANY payment modules you are not using ( not just disabled )

    When you moved the site - did you changed Databases?
    Yes - but the first problem showed up prior to the move. I created a new database, and imported my existing DB to the new one.

    Have you uninstalled the modules and reinstalled them since the move?
    No - I have not. The first problem showed up prior to the move.

    Be sure to uninstall ANY payment modules you are not using ( not just disabled ) - will do.

    I completely uninstalled the CC option - and another order JUST came in for the CC option.

    I'm lost here... and

    There is a known issue whereby occasionally a payment might be recorded via a payment module that's installed but set to disabled. Thus, completely uninstalling (clicking "Remove" in admin) on any modules you don't want to use, is the best bandage to the problem.

    Thanks. I've uninstalled everything except the "allowed" method - hopefully we won't see it again..
    Thanks for letting me know I'm not yet losing my mind!
