    Default Stock control of Linked Categories and Linked Products

    This is a complicated one. At the moment, I link individual products into custom size categories. So for example, I list a pair of jeans in the jeans category and then I link the same jeans into categories: Size 6, Size 8, Size 10, etc.... That way, when a customer clicks on my size categories, the jeans will be there...

    Herein lies the problem though. When the attribute, 'size 12' is sold out, the jeans will still be show in my custom linked category.

    Is there a way to somehow integrate the size attribute with the custom link?

    Li,
    This is a little off the subject but you page is way too wide, I half to use the scroll bar to view your page horizontal

    1. Just a sugestion: Change:
    2. #mainWrapper from width: 1020px to 950px to match your header image
    3. The next task is the live help placement

    If I change main wrapper to 950 now it'd have a major knock on effect on the product pages. The additional image widths and the html table descriptions would all knock down to the next line....

    What size monitor do you use, what resolution and how far do you need to scroll? Can you screenshot it?

    I didn't change anything regarding the width of the site.... it's still set to 1020px;

    Perhaps you caught a momentary glimpse of the site when I was changing some things in the stylesheet?

    Try using stock by attributes mod...

    Hi Misty, I do use Stock By Attributes and it works perfectly. My problem is how to integrate those attributes with my 'link products'.

    I use the 'Copy Product Attributes to Duplicate' my products into size categories..... but when a product size 12 attribute sells out, it still shows as available in the size 12 category because the Stock By Attributes Mod is not working in sync with the linked products....

    Hard to explain but hopefully you know what I mean?

    Do you have duplicate products or linked products? They will be one or the other.
