Turning off specific sideboxes

I'm not sure if this is the correct place for this question but I am trying to figure out how to hide the sponsors sidebox and having no luck at it. It does not currently fit in with what I want for my shop and I am thoroughly confused about it. I can figure out how to hide other boxes but not that one. Help!

Do you mean turn off??

admin > layout boxes controller > select the box > set to off

Yes I mean turn off. I cannot figure out which box to turn off to get rid of the "sponsors" box. Have you got a suggestion of what to look for?
