Locking Pictures?

Whats the best way to lock pictures within zc? I have a site that I'm working on putting 800+ pix on and I do not want people taking them. I was thinking about using watermarks, but don't know if there is a way to put watermarks on the 800+ pix without doing each one. What are my other options? I would disable right clicking but I personally hate going to other sites that have done that, because it restricts "open in new tab" or copying of text. Thanks in advance.

There is no foolproof way to prevent standalone pictures from being taken, since they have to go to a visitor's PC to be be displayed in their browser.

You could distort them with a watermark, either visible to make them less attractive (which can be done for batches of files) or digital (such as digimarc) that allow you to track infringements.

What program (pref. free) to do multiple watermark photos?

If you google "free watermarking images" you'll find plenty of options to choose from. I can't recommend one as I don't both myself.

Also worth thinking about the Image Handler mod available from the downloads area, as that has watermarking capability built in too.
